SUP Lakeland are the forefront of developing SUP in the Danish lake district. Stand up paddleboarding is an accessible sport and very popular with people of all ages. Come down to our SUP shack and join in the fun and excitement!
Where can you find us?
We are located at Skimminghøj in the pretty Danish Lakeland town of Ry only 10 minutes west from the E45 Motorway. Its only a 25 minute drive from the City of Aarhus or 2 hours 45 min from Copenhagen, and 3 hours to Hamburg in Germany.
We have a good rail connection to all mainline stations and Ry station is only a 5-minute walk from our location.
We are lucky to operate on the Gudenå river and lake system, there's over 178 km of navigable river connected by lakes. It's an area of outstanding natural beauty.
What do we offer?
We offer ASI courses for beginners and intermediates.
Maximum 8 students per instructor. We also offer private Instruction.
Courses start at 450 KR including all equipment and last around 2 hours.
We offer Red Paddle Co 10'6 and 10'8' Rides for hire. Also an XL Ride for group hire.
We have good car parking facilities, simple changing and showering facilities. Nearby there are cafes and shops for food and drinks.
David Bennett ASI Flatwater Instructor, Rescue, First Aid, will be your SUP instructor.
We also offer Guided SUP tours, River Safaris, and organize Company paddling events. The area is also famous for outdoor activities including Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, etc.
What do you need to bring & what we will provide
We provide Boards, paddles, leashes and wetsuits. Clients need to bring swimwear, a towel, clothes appropriate for the day's weather conditions. Sunscreen for sunny days.
When do we open
We open in Beginning of April 2019, all booking is via our website where the opening times are shown.
